Sonja Grace sailed from Honolulu, Hawaii to Victoria, Canada in 1978. She was 19 years old and the only female crewmember on a 42-foot twin mast fiberglass sailboat with five men. The journey began with a hurricane headed straight for the Hawaiian Islands. She endured 30 days at sea sharing a small space with mental and emotional abuse. It was a life-changing event that took Sonja to a staring role in her own life story as the captain of her life.

 For over twenty years, Sonja Grace has been offering her audiences, both in the United States and abroad, immediate stability, clarity, and guidance. Through her presentation of Inner Awareness, Gravity and Energy Movement, Sonja’s talent shines with a deep knowledge of self-esteem and finding one’s authenticity. Her years of dance theatre bring a vast array of understanding for the immediate need to communicate with oneself at the core. Sonja has gifts that allow her to see and receive messages from the spirit realm and offers a venue for healing in this world and the next. Combining these life long gifts with her years of dance training brings a continued round of applause to her coined phrase ‘spirit reality’.
Six years were spent with the prestigious Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the realization came to her after a Mid Summer Night's Dream and 76 performances of Julius Caesar, the stage is her life and life is theatre!
After a decade of dancing professionally and hitting the great wall of dysfunction she ventured into the healing realm only to learn her gifts had been with her as long as she could remember.
"Bringing art into life and life into art is something everyone can do. We must keep our own personal truth alive and be free to express what, how and who we are".
Sonja is of Norwegian descent and currently lives in Oregon with her husband and two cats. Her books Angels in the 21st Century and Conversations with Greyhair will be available in 2008.
